Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. (They told me to say that)
I'm going to be 35 later this month, on the same day as the Olympic opening ceremony in fact, so I thought I'd get into the spirit by walking 35 miles from Whitstable to Walmer (and, yes, I will be indulging my obsesion with the seaside towns of Kent in the process), ably accompanied by the lovely David Amstel.
I'm raising money for Barnardo's because they do really important work with vulnerable children all around the UK. As some of you know, my Mum has also volunteered for Barnardo's for many years.
Now the science bit: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now (and if you were thinking of getting me a birthday present, please sponsor me instead).
Thanks very much,
Andrew
