I am pleased to report that I successfully completed the walk with a week to spare.  It was the experience of a lifetime and has given me many fond memories.  Thank you very much to everybody that donated to this extremely worthwhile cause.  It is of course not too late to donate should you wish to.

On June 16th 2010 I start what will hopefully be a 7 week walk from The Atlantic Ocean to The Mediteranean, across the Pyrenees.  The route is called the GR10 and is a little more than 800km long.  I will be climbing a total of 50,000m along the route which is the equivalent of 5 and half Everests!

I will be joined on the walk from time to time by friends and family and will update this page when firm plans have been made.  Joining me for the first week will be my brother Ian and my sister Julia. They are both most welcome and I thank them for their company.  Joining me for weeks 4 and 5 will be David Goldfarb, I thank David for this and he will be most welcome to keep me company during the most difficult stages when replenishing food and water will be at the most challeging.

I am doing this to raise money in aid of KIDS. and The Hertfordshire Harriers, a cricket club for disabled youngsters.  All money raised through this website is for the benefit of KIDS, any cash donations will be for Hertfordshire Harriers and shown as 'raised offlne'.

KIDS is a disabled children’s charity; there is no other organisation dedicated to providing such an extensive range of services to disabled children and young people, aged 0-25 years, irrespective of their impairment or condition. They provide practical support and advice to address the physical and emotional challenges around disability through their services which focus on play, leisure, education and family support.
