Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and thank you very much to Quinssa for awarding me the place that makes this whole thing possible.

This year I become 40 years young and want and need to do something that I can look back on and not only be proud of myself but to have my friends and family be proud of me too, and taking part in the London Marathon will be such a massive achievement for me.

I know this won’t be a simple run in the park - especially for a man of my age and stature - it is a major commitment both in terms of physical training and also time.  As this is my first marathon, having taken some advice, I am hoping to complete it in around 4 and a half hours.

My promise – to myself as well as others – is that I will cross that finish line even if I am walking or crawling by then!

I have chosen to run for 2 charities whose work I admire hugely.  If you would prefer your sponsorship money to go to Future Hope please visit my other page at: www.justgiving.com/AndyFutureHope

Please dig deep and sponsor me online, this will not only help the Shooting Star Children's Hospice by providing some very special people with some much needed money, it will also spur me on during the many hours of training that lie ahead of me as well as on the day itself.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Shooting Star Children's Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Andy 'the wannabe Racing Snake' Stewart!
