Hi! New Year Resolution for 2012 was to run 3 marathons this year as for last couple of years I've wimped out of applying and now really need to catch up! Have looked into various training regimes and have been told that running a half marathon before my first whole one would be a good idea (really!!) hence the challenge has now become 3.5 marathons.

For some added impetus have decided to raise money for charity while I'm at it and the great work that Cancer Research do stuck out as a very worthy cause. A friend and colleague last year also had to go through the trauma of discovering she had cancer, then the necessary operation and therapy which has made it much more real. Thankfully she is through it all now but if anything can be done to stop this happening to more people that would be brilliant.

So please give what you can and I'll try and amuse you with funny pictures of me plodding around the country. The races are:

Forest of Dean Half Marathon - 1st of April (yeah yeah) - timed nicely in preparation for first marathon... and sounds really pretty!!!

Marathon of the North - May 6th 2012 - first ever marathon for me...on road but flattish!

Lakeland Trails Marathon - 1st July 2012 Britain's most beautiful marathon - had to be done really!! NOT flat!!

Kielder Marathon - 7th October 2012 - Britain's most beautiful mara... hmmm.... I'll be the judge of that then!! Stunning location though!!!
