Story
Being a former two-time 400m and two-time 800m Culcheth High School Sports day champion, you're probably thinking "why should I bother donating to this? He's so naturally athletic that he could probably run it in his sleep". Well, contrary to this common belief, my track talents only stretch as far as short-middle distance running.
In the name of charity though, I am generously putting my body through the stress of competing in a half-marathon this September. The event is the Great North Run and I'm raising money for Barnardo's UK - one of the UK's leading charities aimed at helping and protecting the country's most vulnerable children.
Thank you.
UPDATE: I completed the run on Sunday 8th September and finished with an official time of 1:31:04. Thanks to all that have donated so far!
