Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Me, as a dyed in the wool baggy shorted, body armour donning, mud splattered mountain biker has been lured to the dark side to take part in the Lionheart sportive. Not only will I have to ride a whopping 100miles,  but I have to do it wearing purple lycra and on skinny tyres!

To add further challenge I am doing this in a team that includes the infamous Emily Lionheart  A poor misguided soul who has never ridden a bike before a few weeks ago and is currently under team teaching with tea stops gradually being phased out of training rides (Emily's story can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Emily-Lionheart/287273211439912 )

We are doing this to raise money for Positive Action on Cancer which is a local charity that provides a counselling service for anyone affected by a diagnosis of cancer or other life threatening illnesses. This includes any family, friends and carers as well as the patients themselves.

Please donate as little or as much as as you can for this great cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
