Well I completed the 26 miles. Was a great event but very tough - legs are very sore today! Thanks for sponsoring me - I've managed to raise a significant amount of money!!! X

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the gruelling 26 miles of the Virgin London Marathon this year. This is to raise money for Nicola's Fund which is a small charity who aims to support familes who have children suffering from cancer by providing them with short breaks away to places like Centre Parcs. This is invaluable support in helping a family deal with such a sad and stressful time.

This is close to my heart as a close friend of mines nephew (Finn) who was only 13 months old when diagnosed, has been fighting cancer for the past 10 months. Finn was diagnosed with cancer of the kidney which was a stage 4 tumour and also a secondary tumour in his lung was found. He had an 8 week course of intensive chemo which made the lung tumour disappear and had his kidney removed in July. Finn has never stopped smiling throughout the whole of is treatment and is coming to the end of his chemo in March 2012.

Nicolas fund has helped the family deal with this difficult period in their lives and provided a short break for the whole family to enjoy which had a very positive impact and meant they could share a lot of time together in a stress free environment in Centre Parcs.

I will also be running the Liverpool Half marathon as part of my training (Finns home town) so i'm hoping the little man will come and cheer me along the way!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
