Me and hubby John are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year and thought it was about time we did something together!!! So we'signed up to do Strictly Learn to Dance and are learning the Salsa and Tango, with my two left feet and his dad dancing it should be interesting!!! Why St Luke's?.........

My brother Tony was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue in the summer of 2009 despite their very best efforts doctors were unable to stop the disease progressing and less than a year later he was rushed to hospital with pneumonia, in great pain and very anxious. We were told to expect the worst.

He was transferred to St Luke's, within days we had the old Tony back he was smiling pain free and calm, my enduring memory of him is seeing him sat up in bed in his room laptop on his knee putting his bets on the horses!

Not only did the staff care for Tony, they cared for his family and friends, nothing was too much trouble.

St Luke's is a key part of the local community and a much needed resource there for the most difficult times that we face in our lives, please support me and John and help us to raise much needed funds for this very worthwhile cause xxx
