Running the London Marathon at 70 (not m.p.h.) - I promise I won't do it again!
I started gentle running a few years ago; my spur was my granddaughter Emma, aged 11, who has Rett Syndrome. I have entered many (short distance) runs in my Rett t-shirt.
Rett syndrome is a rare neurological disorder affecting mainly females. Most people with Rett syndrome are profoundly and multiply disabled and totally dependent on others for the rest of their lives. My run will be for all the girls with Rett syndrome, but especially for Emma, so please do give generously. I will be approaching my 70th birthday when I attempt to complete the marathon. It all seems a bit daunting so please, please do sponsor me so I can achieve my target. I will need all the encouragement I can get to see me over the finishing line.
