£11,000 Daily Cost of Running The Rowans
To provide the excellent standard of care for which The Rowans Hospice is renowned, it costs in the region of £11,000 per day. This ensures we are able to meet the individual needs of patients and their families and make their stay with us the best it can be.
A few eye opening realities of what's needed,
£950 Syringe Driver A Syringe Driver can make a significant difference in enabling patients to control their own pain relief, it can also be of great help in cases where patients have difficulty swallowing.
£100 Nurses Study Day At The Rowans Hospice we pride ourselves on providing an excellent standard of care and support and £100 would fund a Study Day for one of our nurses helping us stay up-to-date with latest initiatives.
£75 A Nurse Visit to Home Nurses visit patients in their own home giving a chance to meet someone from the hospice for the first time, explain what the hospice does and the services which are available to support them.
£20 Arts and Crafts Having a life-limiting illness can mean that patients are unable to get to the shops on their own to purchase something for a love one.
£35 De-stress Pamper Patients attending our Heath Centre receive relaxation and complimentary therapy which helps assist with pain control.
£100 Oils for Complimentary Therapies Our patients really value the opportunity to experience complimentary therapies during their stay with us.
£20 to £500 Garden Every patient room has views of our landscaped gardens and whilst these are maintained by our committed volunteers, we need to fund the cost of plants and equipment.
