We are a group of lovely ladies who all met through a local Slimming World class which started in October 2012.  Every Wednesday night, we meet at our class to share the ups and downs of our weight loss journeys.  We have all become good friends and our weekly weigh-in has become more of a social gathering for all of us, we always have a great night!

A few of us ran (and walked!) in last year's race and had a fab day.  This year we have an even better reason for taking part; one of our members, Angela - hence our group name - has been bravely battling with cancer recently and we thought this event would be a fantastic opportunity to show our support for both Angela and this worthwhile cause.....and a bit of training will help us shift a few more pounds of course! :o))

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring us, we can unite and create a force that cancer can't ignore.
