The Banham Marsden March · 10 March 2019 ·
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
In September 1997, the day before Princess Diana's funeral, Lee and I received the devastating news that our son had an aggressive form of leukemia and I spent the next six months hospital. Thanks to the care and dedication of the Royal Marsden's staff, he was cured and is happy and healthy today.
No words can express the gratitude for what they did for Daniel but it is time to give something back. We have all been touched by cancer in some way and most of us have lost somebody close to us or witnessed the effect of this awful disease on friends and family. This is why we , under the banner "Sole Mates" are all participating in the Marsden March,Sole Mates are Angelene Rackett, Jane, Izzie and Kate Gorman, Helen Tucker, Heather Sud, Brenda Morgan, Sarah Howe, Jane Doherty .Suzanne Duke and Dee Braim
