BUPA Great Manchester Run 2012 · 20 May 2012 ·

Young people who experience homelessness are more likely to experience it later in life too. We break this cycle. We work with our national network of Youth Foyers to offer opportunities for young people to realise their power and purpose, and move on equipped to thrive as independent adults.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, and thanks again if you've chosen to sponsor me!

This 10k is going to be quite a challenge for me, which will come as a surprise to those who seem to be under the impression that I'm a sporty person - I really don't know where this illusion came from! However, I'm looking forward to it because I know I'll feel great once I've made it past the finish line, and because I know what a difference the money I raise for the Foyer Federation will make.

I'm not saying this because I work for them and because my boss may read this but I'm lucky enough to see first hand the great work the Foyer Federation does and I know how just a little effort or small gesture can really make a difference to someone else.

I've got something to aim for in completing this run and I hope the money I raise will help as many young people as possible do likewise and move forward to achieve what we already know they can.

For more information on our work and specifically our Open Talent campaign, which any money I raise will directly support, go to our website www.foyer.net, or give me a call.

Wish me luck and watch this space for my next running attempt...

Thanks

Angie
