Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please also consider splitting your donation with the Kids Co which can be accessed through the following link: http://www.justgiving.com/Angus-Mackintosh0

Some of you may already suspect I have a slight streak of madness and you are absolutely right. To prove that I am having yet another mid- life crisis, I have decided to undertake the Atacama Crossing, a 250km ultra-marathon at altitude in the Atacama Desert in Chile. This is the driest place on earth and somewhere normally reserved for the testing of lunar buggies and the filming of space movies. Not only is this a challenge in its own right, but while willfully destroying myself I hope to raise some money for others less fortunate.

Build IT international is a UK based charity which builds schools, clinics and low cost housing in Zambia. What sets them apart from other organisations is that they use the build process to train people in building skills, thus equipping the community with not just a new school but also skills for life. In 2010 Build IT is building 3 new primary schools and a clinic in Zambia.

About the charity

We train young unemployed people to be builders, and at the same time build vital schools and health clinics. With your support we are #BuildingBrighterFutures in Zambia.
