Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running on behalf of the Mike Campbell Foundation who work to fight for the return of the rule of law and the protection of human rights in Zimbabwe. In particular, the rights of those farm workers who have been dispossessed through Robert Mugabe's regime. The ordeals suffered by Mike Campbell, his family and over 1 million other people in Zimbabwe are truly dreadful, but the Mike Campbell Foundation is a really positive force to come out of it all and their work to stand up for some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in Southern Africa is inspiring.
I hope you can take the time to visit the MCF website and find out more about their work at www.mikecampbellfoundation.com/, and their cause is also highlighted in the powerful documentary 'Mugabe and the White African'.

Those who know me will agree I'm not a sporty guy, in fact my laziness and lack of coordination have basically ruled out participating in any sort of sport for fear of hurting myself and others. However, the work done by the Mike Campbell Foundation is so important that I have decided to run the half marathon to raise money for their worthy cause.

Any donation at all will go a long way and make a big difference to the Mike Campbell Foundation's work. Thank you very much in advance to those who sponsor me, it really means a lot.
