Thanks for visiting our fundraising page, on July 3rd 2010, Ann & Jane, (sisters for those who don't know), will be swimming a mile in the Thames as part of the Great London Swim.  It will be wet, probably cold and as so many of you have kindly pointed out, perhaps a little dirty.

We are training as much as we can so that we can complete this swim in the best possible times, although as yet neither of us has ever embarked on an open water swim before and it is a few years since we have squeezed into a wet suit.

Help for Heroes is a very poignant cause for us, as our training has made us so much more appreciative of the benefit we so easily take for granted of a full set of limbs in working order.   So please if you can show your support for them by sponsoring our event.

Thanks very much  Ann & Jane

HELP FOR HEROES - It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."
