Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2017 · 30 July 2017 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Ann, Elise & Sophie are cycling together again!

On the 3rd January 2003 my life changed forever when I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.  At the time, I had no idea how hard the battle would be to overcome this cruel disease.  However, after 2 relapses, a stem cell transplant which failed and 4 years of harsh treatments, including chemotherapy, I have decided to make 2017 a truly memorable year.

So, to celebrate the 10th anniversary since the end of my 4 years of treatments, the Bromley girls will be raising money for Bloodwise to help fund vital blood cancer research.  We would also like to help raise awareness that Blood cancer is the 5th most common cancer and, sadly, the 3rd biggest killer.

The first challenge will be with my girls and it is the gruelling Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 miler on the 30th July.  Then, if my legs and dodgy knees still have something left in them,  I will once again be cycling 500km from London to Paris on the 14th September but this time, I will be one of 250 riders all supporting Bloodwise.

It would be wonderful if you could sponsor us for these challenges as the money will be going towards a truly remarkable charity.

Thank you so much for your support and for taking the time to read this.
