I know many who have beaten cancer thanks to great medical treatment plus their determination. This includes my mum who was diagnosed with breast cancer at 38 and has just had her 82nd birthday. Her consultant used the latest research in her treatment. Sadly, not everyone survives, including my dad who died of throat cancer. I get emails from CRUK and am impressed by the research they do, which is leading to more variety of targeted treatments. One size does not fit all. 

I'm not a long distance runner and am delighted to have the opportunity to dance the night away to raise money for CRUK.
