<p style="background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; line-height: 140%; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: purple; line-height: 140%; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">The inspiration for taking on this new challenge is my brother Martin and his wonderful wife Audrey.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Martin was first diagnosed with a brain tumour ten years ago and despite the best efforts of his consultants, it refuses to stay away and continues to recur.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Martin has just recently had another brain operation and is still battling with the side-effects of having yet more surgery. Martin and Audrey face each obstacle with a bravery and optimism that is truly admirable.</span></p>

My hope is that the research funded by Astro Fund will prove helpful in finding a solution for Martin's tumour. I chose Astro Fund because it specialises in the specific type of tumour which Martin has.</span><span style="color: #1c1c1c; line-height: 140%; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span></p>
