Anna's year of fundraising

Year of fundraising · 21 January 2018
After a car accident on the cat and fiddle road outside Buxton on Friday 4th December 1998 I had a lung collapse and was placed on a life support machine called ECMO, which is a heart and lung bypass machine based in Glenfield hospital in Leicester at the time the machine was not funded by the NHS so I was extremely lucky to get a place on it. The charity Heartlink support the ECMO machine and the families of those receiving treatment.
In preparation for my 20th anniversary I would like to have something to give back to the charity. Therefore, throughout 2018 I will be holding various fundraising events ready for December. I know it seems everyone is asking for charity donations, however, if you could please remember me at some point over the next year (I will be putting my progress updates on here), maybe just saving your 5p's in a jar and donating them next autumn?? I am hoping to do one fundraising event each quarter with little bits and bobs in-between.
