HELLO.
I would LOVE to go to Slavonski Brod, Croatia this summer with Bless for two weeks, to work with the local church and run a basketball camp, a kids club, and a youth club. Bless are a missional charity who work with and support the local church across Europe. As an organisation they are passionate about seeing the European church blessed and supported, and seeing lives transformed through it. They also believe that doing mission involves our partnering with and learning from the local church, so that we might also be blessed by those we serve. For more information see www.blessnet.eu.
I have been to Croatia for the past five summers, and have gotten to know and love LOTS of young people and church folk down there. I really want to go again, to continue to get to know these people and help them out in any way that I can. This year I will be going as a team leader.
Basically, I have just finished my degree, and have been working to meet all my deadlines in time so I now need to raise as much money as possible so that I can go on the 4th July! HELP ME.
IF 20 PEOPLE DONATE £10, I AM NEARLY THERE.
I will also be running fundraising events at my university all of this week and am hoping this will raise the other £100. Together with my room mate Laura Bradford [who is also raising money to do mission in france with Bless], I am:
- hosting a film night on Sunday (26th) night at £3 a ticket in my room.
- hosting a cheese evening on Wednesday (29th) night at £5 a ticket.
- holding a room sale all of next week (27th June - 1st July), where EVERYTHING in our room will be on sale.
- running a retro ice cream, sweets and lemonade stand on Monday (27th), Wednesday(29th) and Thursday (30th) next week during sports days at my university.
I would REALLY like to go to Croatia. Help me to get there.
