Story
"Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it."
11 April 2010: Just 13 days left before the BIG DAY!
Last four weeks have been pretty dramatic - I injured my left foot during half marathon in Silverstone so I was forced to rest and tried to keep my fitness levels high and not to panic by spending hours on a cross-trainer and keeping positive mental attitude. I can't wait to start racing again later this week!
I look at the journey I have taken and I can give myself a smile and a pat on the back - I've already exceeded my expectations and in the meantime I've learn many important lessons!
I'm still on target to raise £2,500 before the main event to help support the very worthy Spinal Research charity. Thank you very much for your support.

Hello there and welcome to my fundraising page!
It means a lot to me for you to sponsor me. Not only does it mean I can run the London Marathon thus fulfilling my lifelong dream, but I can also (partly!) feel responsible for raising money for one of the most worthy charities.
Spinal Research fund research into paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. A car crash, a serious fall, or a sporting accident can happen to every one of us and a spinal cord injury can change a person's life irrevocably, in the space of an instant. Repairing a damaged spinal cord is one of the hardest challenges that medical science has ever faced but Spinal Research has played a fundamental role in the major breakthroughts that have recently been made in this field.
I hope to raise £2,500 to help support this charity. I will keep you updated on my training progress through this page, and at some point I will start counting down to race day! If you keep reading, I will have to keep training... :-)
I am so looking forward to this challenge and I hope to reach my fundraising target with your help.
Thank you very much in advance for your support!
Anna
