Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

I'm running the Oxford Half Marathon and I'm really hoping I can raise money by doing so. If you can give even a small amount, I'll be so grateful, for many reasons:

Because the money will go to KEEN, an Oxford charity which provides social and sporting activities for children and young adults with special needs. It's made possible by the work of volunteers from the universities of both Oxford and Oxford Brookes, and by fundraising to support the sessions. I've seen the activities they run and it's just epic how much fun both the athletes and volunteers have.

Because when I signed up to this event, in June, I couldn't run for five minutes.

Because I'm not just looking for support for a half marathon; I'm looking for support for the 50 minute mid-week runs I'll be doing at 6.30 in the morning, the speed training sessions, the long runs on a Sunday, and the glasses of wine I won't therefore be able to have on a Saturday.

If you'd like to watch the race, you can check out the route map here. I'll be the one with the purple face.

Thanks so much again for taking a look at my page. Read on for the bit from JustGiving.
