Anna Soubry, Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Broxtowe is doing a sponsored walk in the constituency as part of her campaign to stop development on the borough’s green belt.
The two day walk on August 30th and 31st be on green belt around Toton, Trowell, Asworth, Kimberley, Nuthall, Bramcote and Chilwell. Money raised from the 20 mile trip will go to the Treetops Hospice.
“A friend of mine from Stapleford was looked after at Treetops in her finals months and I know what a wonderful job they do for the terminally ill and their families.”
The walk will include meetings with residents and councillors in areas identified for development.
The walk begins at the Attenborough Nature Reserve on Sunday August 30th with stops at Toton, Trowell and Awsworth finishing late afternoon in the north of the constituency at Greasley. On Bank Holiday Monday Anna will walk to the Moor Green Show to meet councillors from Kimberley, Watnall and Nuthall and enjoy this popular annual event. The walk will continue across to Trowell Moor where thousands of houses could be built and then to Bramcote and the green belt that separates the village from Chilwell and Toton. The last stage will take Anna to the Conservative Club in Beeston.
