Story
Anna left us peacefully on the afternoon of 26 January after a two and half year battle with cancer. It was quiet and the sun was shining. We were all gathered at her bedside here at home, holding her hand.
Anna was a wonderful mother, wife and daughter and an exceptional doctor. She was also great activist and was involved with many different charities. In conjuction with her work as a GP she was involved in looking at ways of making life easier for those caring for family members or friends with disabilities and chronic illnesses. She also contributed to publications on the subject.
Having nursed her to the end of her life, her family also know how hard it can be to care for someone and the value of these unsung (and often very young) heroes who so often don't get the support they deserve. The Princess Royal Trust for Carers is the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in the UK and so is well placed to offer that support. Please give generously.
