Story
I have always told people that some day I would run a marathon. Now that I have reached the age where getting out of an armchair elicits the noise "uurgghhh", I realise that I better get my act together and start training! Since the National Autistic Society were so kind as to accept me onto their team, I am FORCED to just do it (as Nike would say). So I am starting from scratch. I have not been running once in 2012 (until now) so my fitness level is ... nil. But I swear I will do this marathon if it kills me! So please donate whatever you can. It's going to a great cause (www.nas.org.uk) and I will be eternally greatful for your support!
As an additional incentive, anybody donating £20 or more can ask me to do a video challenge. Basically, if you want me to do the cinnamon challenge or go out to the bars dressed as kermit the frog, or learn how to dougie, I will do it and post the video on this page and facebook (although I have to ask you to keep your requests within the boundaries of the law). If anybody donates £150 or more, I will let you choose my attire on the day, so whether you want to see me as an insect, Hey Arnold!, Michael Jackson or whatever else you can think of, dig deep! (My NAS t-shirt must be visable and I can't wear full body suits as I will overheat and die).
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
