                                                                                      I DID IT!

The weather was quite kind to me and I had five days of walking that I will never forget! I took loads of photos and have uploaded some here to share the walk with you all - and to prove that  I DID wear the 'I CAN' colours!! Thank you to all of you who have given donations and for all of your words of encouragement - they came with me in my rucksack!

To those doubting Thomas' who are yet to part with the hard-earned cash, don't worry - it's not too late to make a donation, every little helps.

                      On the 19th - 23rd October 2009 I will be walking the entire Isle of Wight Coastal Path,

                                                                        That is 70 miles in 5 days!

                                    I am raising money for 'I CAN' the children's communication charity.

'I CAN' is a charity very dear to my heart after working at their Meath School in Ottershaw, Surrey. There I experienced first hand the difference their work makes to children with severe or complex speech, language and communication needs. Being able to speak, use language and communicate with others is one of the basic necessities for happiness and success. I CAN works to support the development of speech, language and communication in all children, with a special focus on those that find this hard.

By doing the Isle of Wight Coastal Walk I hope to be able to raise money for the work of 'I CAN' at Meath School. The money you donate will go towards projects and resources identified by class teams on the 'Wish List'. These are resources that will make a real difference to the day to day work of teachers, speech and language therapists, and, therefore, the children at Meath School.

                                             The more money I raise the more wishes can be fulfilled!
