Our aim is to raise £7,000 to enable Mary's Meals to build a Kitchen Shelter in Malawi, as a loving & lasting tribute to the memory of our treasured parents Anne & Jim Forbes, who tragically lost their lives in a car crash on October 22nd 2010.

Our dear mum & dad always had a cuppa, a huge smile & a warm welcome for any visitors. We would love to be able to raise £7,000 in order to pay for the cost of building a kitchen shelter in a school where porridge would be cooked & where children are fed & educated every day.

Once we reach our target we will be allocated a school & this very special kitchen shelter will be named after our wonderful parents. The children will be fed & educated, nourished mentally & physically in our mum & dads memory. Once constructed it can be used not only as a kitchen for the school but can function as an extra classroom or perhaps a community clinic at the weekend. 

We are so grateful & feel blessed that you are considering donating to our mum & dads kitchen fund & helping us in our loss, to create a beautiful leagacy in our mum & dads name.

Mary’s Meals is an international movement that sets up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. The charity now feeds more than 600,000 children every school day and it costs just £10.70 / €12.40 / $16.80 to feed a child for a year.
