Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We started cycling in Spring this year, and enjoyed it so much we wanted to set ourselves a target. So we'll be cycling 50 miles on Saturday 26 September, starting and finishing on the seafront near Brighton.

From the start on the seafront at Hove the ride heads east through Brighton and along the South Coast to Newhaven. We then follow the river Ouse, climbing gently(?!) over the Downs past Glyndebourne’s famous opera house before turning west to Hurstpierpoint and skirting the ‘Devil’s Dyke’ on its return to the finish at Hove.

We know we'll have a great time, but it would mean so much more if we could raise £200 for KidsOut.

KidsOut helps disadvantaged children and young people - irrespective of background or circumstance - up to the age of 18, throughout the UK. Many of the children the charity helps have physical, health, social or learning difficulties, while others face less obvious challenges - such as coming from turbulent or financially deprived backgrounds.

We are both keen to support KidsOut by achieving our first 50 mile bike ride. Anne spent 6 months in 2007 volunteering for KidsOut, by helping out with their re-branding and marketing initiaves. Nicola has supported KidsOut through the Leighton Buzzard golf club, whose Lady Captain has this year selected the charity to support at club events.
