I have long wanted to return to China to" thrill" my friends with more pictures of the Terracota Army and what better way to do it than raising funds for the Fostering Network. I expect that my friends will sponsor me not to show them any more photographs- so dig deep if you don't want another slide show. Many of you probably don't know that after two years of Mandarin classes, I can say my name and ask for a beer.  Only problem was that Chinese barmen do not speak Belfast Mandarin!!!

I am really up for the challenge, Ella is helping me with the training schedule.  I am a bit worried that she thinks she is coming too but will break the bad news nearer the time.  Ella in case you are wondering is my dog.

I have worked with foster carers for many years and have really admired their commitment and enthusiasm.  The money  I raise will help them continue to provide children with the best possible care.  I personally know how foster carers help children recover from past hurts and how vital their role is in enabling them face the future with confidence and a belief that they can have a good life.
