Annie's National 3 Peaks (sub 24hrs) challenge

National 3 Peaks (sub 24hrs) challenge · 3 June 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you already know, this summer I'm doing the Three Peaks Challenge with a team for the Alec's Angels charity. For those who don't know anything about the Three Peaks Challenge it's the climb of Ben Nevis, Scaffell Pike and Snowdon, a total trekking distance of 26miles and an overall ascent of approximately 10,000ft, within 24hours... Including the travel time between the mountains.
We leave Winslow on Tuesday 3rd June, travelling up to Scotland to begin our challenge on Wednesday 4th with the climb of Ben Nevis. This is followed by a drive to the Lake District and a night/dawn climb of Scafell Pike. One final drive takes us to the last mountain, Snowdon, in Wales to complete the challenge. All within 24hours.
Our aim is to raise £10,000 for Alec’s Angels. We have a very motivated team of people taking part in this challenge; many of us have been training since October last year. For all of us this is a personal challenge and ambition too, we are therefore funding the climb ourselves. This means that donations on the JustGiving page go straight to Alec’s Angels. If you would like to add your support please visit the Team’s page, all donations are gratefully received.
