I undertook this with no training and with no sponsorship! It took a very long time - I think I was last to finish! This time I hope to do better on all fronts. </span><span style="font-size: 20px; font-family: Arial;">We will be walking 15 miles around famous London iconic sites at night. I hope it will be fun.</span></span></p>

I am fortunate as I have been treated effectively, but others are not so lucky and I want to stop needless vision loss.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 15.0pt; mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="color: #000000;">The aim of the walk for us </span><span style="color: #ff0000;">Birdshotters</span> <span style="color: #000000;">is to raise money for a </span><span style="color: #ff0000;">Birdshot Biobank</span> <span style="color: #000000;">to help researchers understand the rare and potentially blinding disease of Birdshot Chorioretinopathy.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 15.0pt; mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 15pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000;">We need to find out why people get this eye condition and what can be done to treat it in a more effective way. This is currently hard to do because the condition is rare, and large numbers of "Birdshotters" are hard to find to study. A Birdshot Biobank would really aid researchers and scientists interested in finding out more about the condition and devising better treatment options.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 15.0pt; mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 15pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000;">The walk is being organised by Fight for Sight, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to funding pioneering research into sight loss and eye disease. </span><span style="font-size: 15pt; font-family: Arial;">They are helping us raise money for Research in Birdshot Uveitis and a Biobank via their Nightwalk.</span></p>
