To commemorate my 50 birthday this year, I have volunteered for an amazing challenge in November. I have been accepted to take part in the 2009 EMMS bike ride for the Nazareth Hospital, cycling from Jordan to Nazareth. One part of the challenge is to cycle about 50miles a day over 5 days over fairly hilly terrain, some of it off-road through the lands of the Bible. It will take all my resources of energy and stamina and all God’s help but I am inspired to achieve this for a unique hospital, set in a special part of the world, with a ministry of Christian love, bringing together all races and religions-Arab and Jew, Christian and Muslim.
I won’t be doing this on my own, I’ll be in the company of 17 others from all parts of the world and together we hope to raise £40,000 for building works at the hospital. I am particularly excited that during the bike ride we will have the opportunity to visit the hospital to meet the people who work there and to see the needs that will be met by our Bike Ride and your effort.
The minimum I need to raise is £2,500 and I am amazed to say that £4000 is banked ready to go but I am asking you all for help to get well beyond this so that more can be done by EMMS in Nazareth, Malawi and Nepal. Thank you for whatever you can afford. Love Annie xx
