Thank you for making your way to my page. Type 1 diabetes, an auto immune disease, affects my son Joe and thousands others like him, immeasurably, daily.  I will be swimming across the English Channel to raise money for JDRF. I am a patron of the charity, and committed to their cause. A number of the treatments they have funded are in phase three trials right now. This is great, but the big picture is the total eradication of the disease. This is a very real possibility, but only with your very generous support. One day, Joe will no longer need to prick his finger six times a day, and inject hiself with the insulin he is unable to produce himself.
