Did you know that 46 million children in Africa have never set foot in a classroom? It's for this reason that Wayne, Ben and myself will be doing the South Manchester Triathlon on 23rd Sept. We'll be swimming 400m, cycling 23.6km and then trying to run 6.3km. Those of you who know us all will know that this will be a significant achievement for us all!

I have been presented with an incredible opportunity to visit Kenya on a volunteering trip with The MHPFoundation www.cycleforafrica.co.uk.

I will be going to the Memusi school near Magadi. During the trip we'll work on a building project (hopefully building a new classroom depending how much we raise) as well as spending time with the children in the classroom.

MHPFoundation works in partnership with the local communities providing the childern with opportunites to attend school (by providing things like uniforms, pencils, scholarships and malaria nets) as well as building sustainability by starting farming projects which helps the local communites as well as the schools.

Every penny we raise on this site will go directly to the school (I am covering the full cost of the trip myself). This is an incredible opportunity for me and it would be amazing if you could help me and the school by providing a small amount of sponsorship
