I had intended to run my next marathon abroad, maybe somewhere historic and beautiful like Barcelona, Prague, or somewhere else with cheap flights from Newcastle. However, with a daughter currently studying for final exams I decided to not disrupt her studies too much with a trip abroad (no way I'm leaving her at home!). Instead, I plan on running through, erm, historic and beautiful Sunderland on Sunday 6th May 2012.</p> <p>I usually run for charity and have decided quite late in the buildup to do so again.
