Story
Hi everyone, I am running again for USPG at this year's London Marathon for a project called "Protecting Children’s rights, Peru" - http://www.uspg.org.uk/article.php?article_id=617. This Project began when the Child and Adolescent Team at the Anglican Diocese of Peru saw the problems of child abuse and how it affected families in the community of Cerro Cachito in Ventanilla, a town outside Lima.
"Thanks to USPG, many children are now learning about their rights and we hope that this knowledge will improve their lives. We give thanks for the lives of each one of these children", says Rosario Saavedra, Diocesan Administrator for our Link Diocese of Peru.Tony invites you to sponsor him and so support this Project at Ventanilla by helping to raise the target of £2,668. With your help Tony did raise £2,500 in 2006.
This Project will fund workshops for counselling and conflict resolution to protect the safety and welfare of children and women.
