This year I'm having another sponsored birthday - this time asking people to donate to the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture. They are an incredibly deserving charity.

They are a charity devoted to helping people who have suffered torture at the hands of others. Sometimes this torture is physical, other times psychological, so the Medical Foundation provides both medical and psychotherapeutic care for victims. The victims are often extremely vulnerable individuals who have suffered beyond anything you can imagine.

Donations to the Foundation will genuinely help real people towards recovering from their unspeakable experiences.
