WE DID IT!!!I
... we walked to the top of the world - Mount Kenya - to Point Lenana at 4985 metres - as part of an expedition to help raise funds for Hospice Care Kenya and especially the hospice in Nairobi where one of my fellow explorers, Dr Mike Hughes, was medical director for a number of years. The event also marked Mike's 50th birthday and five of us embarked on this extreme challenge over 7 days starting 25 January 2011.
We paid for the cost of the trip ourselves. All money raised is going directly to Hospice Care Kenya.
