I did this event in 2016 in memory of a patient of mine that died at age 21 for prostate cancer.

I was struck by the incredible  stories and I felt priveliged to have those people share them with me. some of them have stuck with me and inspired me to help again this year. None of us know what's around the next corner in life for us and many of the people I shared conversations with during the event were moved to tears including myself. These were very hard things to hear and I could see how deeply it affected their emotions and feelings of loss. 

I am not going to relay other people's stories on here as they are personal to each individual. However I am certain anyone reading this page perhaps has lost a loved one in the past and knows the devastation that follows it. 

We can beat prostate cancer though but it's early detection that's the key here that in reality means lots of research and money .

Therefore I pledged to raise £1000 for prostate cancer by cycling  From London to Amsterdam In  2 days covering 150 miles. 

It is and awesome event super friendly and everyone had a smile on their face even when it was hard going. Others helping repair bikes punctures etc  to get everyone there to Amsterdam and reach their goal. It was truly exceptional in spirit and  fun to, with new friends made along the way.  

I met one lovely guy last year who has suffered the consequences of late detection of prostate cancer and he gave up all his time free to cover the event photographically. I hope to see him again this year a dedicate my cycling ride to this man.
