Why I'm Jumping 12,000 Feet on a Saturday Afternoon!

RUSH 2 Kenya is a small charity located in Kakamega, Kenya whose primary aim is to help widows and orphans affected by HIV/AIDS. 

These vulnerable people are often shunned by their own community and left homeless, with no means of support.  RUSH (Reaching the Unreached through Self Help) helps give these people a new purpose in life by sponsoring the building of new homes, providing a small plot of land, planting maize and offering medical services.

Some of the things RUSH provide to these people are things that you and I often take for granted.

I'd like to raise money for the Mount Elgon project, which is funding a medical day where people can receive treatment and medication to help make their life that bit more comfortable.  (pls read on)

That's why I've decided to throw myself from an aeroplane from a mere 12,000 feet.  Please help make this worthwhile by sponsoring me to do it!

On a personal note, I'm also dedicating the jump to my dad, who passed away in April.  He was so proud of the fact I was going to do the jump and was looking forward to watching me do it.  I've got a sneaky feeling he'll be there next to me, giving me an encouraging SHOVE out of the aeroplane door!
