Bupa Great Manchester Run · 15 May 2011 ·

We have a vision - a world where HIV holds no one back. We directly support 3000 people living with HIV across Greater Manchester and Liverpool, providing wrap around care and advice. We promote a better understanding of HIV, and challenge stigma and discrimination.

Story

Hi Folks,

I’m at it again, showing myself up as I limp, breathlessly through Manchester City Centre, pretending to be an athlete. It is, however, all for a good cause as I’m raising money for The George House Trust.

GHT is a worthy charity supporting people living with and affected by HIV within the North West.

I learned a lot more about GHT last year during their 25 years anniversary. I was touched to hear their stories of how they have help people from the very start of the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s and was even more humbled by the work they do now, especially with young children who have to grow up with the stigma and complications living with HIV can bring. GHT, have the tools and the ability to help these people and young children. In this age of austerity and budget cuts, your support is needed more than ever, to help make someone’s life worth living.

Please help to make a difference and give what you can. Thanks Ant

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
