As you can imagine the whole prospect is slightly daunting and will require a huge amount of preparation and training, especially since the last time I can remember riding a bike was at about 13 years of age, all of six............teen years ago.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-size: small; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: &amp;amp;quot; mso-fareast-font-family: &amp;amp;quot; color: black; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">I have decided to join the <strong>London to Paris cycle ride (circa 300 miles)</strong> in April for charity which gives me the opportunity to help a service which deserves far more recognition and badly needs help to continue their fantastic work. I have chosen to Sponsor <strong>The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance</strong> (</span><a href="http://www.dsairambulance.org.uk/">http://www.dsairambulance.org.uk/</a>) which receives no funding from either the Government (unlike hoodies that smash up our cities) or from the lottery and relies completely on the generosity of the public to raise the <strong>£1.4 million</strong> annual running costs.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-size: small; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: &amp;amp;quot; mso-fareast-font-family: &amp;amp;quot; color: black; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance are a highly skilled team of pilots and paramedics that can directly save hundreds of lives a year and affect thousands of others. <strong>No one</strong> is immune to accidents and may one day rely on this dedicated team themselves, as our family has done. Two years ago a close relative was taken seriously ill, the air ambulance was called and got this person the treatment required extremely swiftly, so much so they were awake and treated having already been operated on by the time we got to the hospital by car.</span></p>

They don’t just help the rescued but all those that care about them, so please sponsor me and help me raise some money that may save another persons’ life.
