Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For people that dont know me that well, I have a condition called Tourettes Syndrome. Thankfully Iv only got a mild form of the condition, but throughout my teens it became more moderate. For me the hardest part was coming to terms with and accepting I'l having it for the rest of my life. Since leaving School at 16 I was put on a moderate dose of an Anti-psychotic drug called Rispiradone (which I still take but now a very small dose). The main side effect of this med is weight gain, Which following the med change I put on nearly 5 stone. Im doing this years Bristol 10k on the 20th of May to raise money for Tourettes Action and Prove to myself I can get fit again after losing all the weight I gained. Obviously Iv chose Tourettes Action as my charity to run for because its something very close to my heart. There's thousands of kids growing up in schools with the condition that just want to be accepted and not be bullied for what they have. Im really pleased that Tourettes Is becoming more well known in the UK, and its charities like Tourettes action that are going to get the right messege out to people about the condition. People just need to be educated about the condition and realise there are real people behind the Tics that are shown so widly in the media. Please Show your support and donate.. Thanks.
