The Pain?

In the company of Lawrence Dallaglio and other friends, I shall attempt the Dallaglio Cycle Slam - a ride from Rome to Edinburgh via the Six Nations venues of Paris, London, Cardiff and Dublin, covering 2,888 km in 24 days. And if the distance wasn't going to be painful enough, we're doing it in February and March! It will make the weather we've been experiencing recently seem like a warm summers day! The Gain?

Raising money for a cause I feel so strongly about. There is not one of you out there whose life has not been affected by cancer. Four years ago I nearly lost my wife Tracey to this dreaded disease. My world was turned upside down. She wouldn't be here today if wasn't for the wonderful care, attention and expertise she received from the doctors who treated her, and for the charities that support their crucial work. So my gain will be to try and raise as much money as I possibly can for Cancer Research.

Lawrence has set me a very ambitious target and who am I to argue! I would really appreciate (and need!) your support, no matter how big or small.
