No I'm not turning 70...but Faithful+Gould is!

Manchester Half Marathon

This Sunday I'll be running the Manchester Half Marathon for 70470 and in aid of Alzheimer's Society! AS is an amazing organisation dedicated to improving the lives of dementia sufferers and those who care for them.

The weekend will be a first for many things - not only is it my first official half marathon, since when did Manchester have 22 degree weather?!

Please can I kindly ask you to donate anything you can spare!

70 Mile South East Ride
So you may have heard that a few of us are doing a bike ride....

Faithful+Gould turn 70 this year and to mark the anniversary, we're giving back! We're undertaking a National Cycling Challenge in aid of Alzheimer's UK, a ride that links up 26 of our offices across the UK & Europe. The corporate goal is to raise £70,000 nationally by cycling 7,000 miles in 70 days....hopefully you can sense there's a 70 theme going on here. On Sunday 21st May I'll be cycling from our Head Office in Euston, London to Epsom and on to Tunbridge Wells...a 60 mile route all in one day. So you're probably thinking..."April, I didn't realise you were a cyclist" and you're absolutely right, I'm definitely not!! My cycling prowess is currently limited to a 10 mile stretch along a flat and smooth coastal route in South West France...and that's only when there's the offer of free wifi and a grand café on route. I'm relying on team spirit, any generous donations and the prospect of a burger and large glass of rose at the finish line to get me through. My lovely friends Bobbie, Alice and Georgie will also be joining me on the ride so we're in it together!

This ride is the start of the 70 day challenge and throughout the 70 days I'll be undertaking lots more challenges including 70 second sprint trials, 70 days of sugar free eating, various 24 hour spin-a-thons, a few 10Ks and a half marathon.

I've set up this JustGiving page which covers all activities within the 70 days. Please can I be very cheeky and kindly ask you to donate anything you can spare! The money raised on my page gets fed into our Faithful+Gould page with the £70K target for Alzheimer's UK . It's an amazing organisation who are transforming the landscape of dementia forever.
