Back in 2009 he took on the challenge of a lifetime: to run 26 miles and come out the other side still in one piece. Why?, because he had had enough of watching the screen year on year and blagging that "I could do that, if only I had the time"....

In 2011, having no excuses, he stepped back in the ring just to prove he could do it. Finding it tougher the second time around, if not equally emotional - the challenge made all the harder knowing how much it would hurt come mile 17 when all his legs wanted to do was curl up in front of the TV with a cup of tea and a good episode of CSI Miami for company....

And now, possibly for the last time, he commits to taking on the challenge once more.

As he steps out of the door and the cold wind attacks his face like razor sharp pins, each step - a concrete slipper dragged forward - the momentum only half the mental battle, as his legs say "quit", but his spirit says "never"....

So here I am, in the concluding part of the trilogy, and whilst I've committed to raising money for a terribly worthy cause, Emunah*, (http://emunah.org.uk/about/), in a time when for everyone, every penny counts - the long and short of it is that I can't do this without you....

We all have our commitments, and we all have those people who rely on us - but there are some people who have nothing and just hope that people like you and I will be there for them......and yet, they don't know who you are, and they don't know who I am.

Without this support means Emunah would not be helping as many children.

So, I know it's tough right now, but I am asking you for your help, because whilst you may not think it will - I can assure you that it really will make a difference.

No matter how small the donation, every little bit will ultimately go a long way.

In advance, THANK YOU.
