St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers. Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 24th May 2017 my amazing father Peter Warren was unexpectedly diagnosed with liver and lung cancer. He was admitted to St Richards Hospice on the 11th June where he sadly passed away on the 18th June 2017. Father's Day

St Richards Hospice cared for my father with incredible compassion and professionalism. The facilities enabled him to share precious and private time with his family whilst being comfortable and remaining dignified. St Richards Hospice allowed us to remain with my father 24 hours a day, and most importantly at the end of his life.

St Richard’s Hospice cares for patients and families in Worcestershire who are living with life-limiting illnesses. Each year they give free care and support to around 3,000 patients, loved ones and the bereaved – helping them towards the best quality of life possible

St Richards Hospice also provides on going help and support to those affected by bereavement with councelling sessions, help with funeral arrangements, and on going assistance.

Surprisingly, Three quarters of St Richards Hospice' income comes from public donations, this includes gifts in Wills, one off or regular donations, fundraising events and personal challenges, legacies and grants from trusts and business sponsorship. The remainder comes from the NHS.

Myself and Ben would like to raise as much needed money as possible to help this incredible organisation to continue its amazing work and ensure that others get the same level of care that my father received
