Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am Insh Allah going to be taking part in the 33 mile cycle/bike ride challenge from East London to the Shahjahan Mosque in Woking!!..in order to raise money towards the Orphans in Palestine and for the growth of islamic education....Please donate any amount towards this good cause . Thank you sooo much in advance for your support and donations!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

All funds raised will be split equally between sponsoring Orphans in Palestine with humanitarian aid charity, Islamic Help (UK charity no. 1100259) and supporting students here in the UK with Khalil Foundation, an umbrella organisation of Ebrahim College (UK charity no. 1108141), subsidising student costs to help teach our next generation of scholars.

To go through childhood without the protection and care of a parent or guardian is one of the most unimaginably difficult thing. Orphaned children are often left with no option but to fend for themselves or be dependent on the generosity of sponsors near and far. Many, however are left vulnerable to exploitation.

Islamic Help's Orphans Sponsorship in Palestine

Islamic Help’s Orphan Sponsorship Scheme supports the most vulnerable of orphans – those with little support, caught in the throes of conflict and instability. They support orphans living in orphanages as well as those that live with family members or siblings.

As part of The Seekers’ Quest campaign your money will help provide a comprehensive support package for orphan children in Palestine, designed to meet each individual child’s needs including:

  • Shelter – Whether living with relatives, friends or in an orphanage we ensure that the orphan sponsored has a roof over their head and the security and protection that they deserve
  • Education – Ensuring that the at the child has access to education, attends school or classes to enable them to read, write and access opportunities for future prosperity
  • Food – Each child’s nutritional needs are met
  • Healthcare – Access to healthcare and medication according to their needs
  • Welfare – Ensure that the environment in which the sponsored child lives, is protective and nurturing and they are in regular contact with their carers or guardians. Any issues affecting their general wellbeing are identified and dealt with. At all times, their dignity and self-worth are honoured

Khalil Foundation's Aalim students sponsorship

Khalil Foundation aims to ensure the development and growth of Islamic education so that we can prepare the scholars, leaders and community that we need. Education supports the Ummah locally and globally and is vital for us as we are the ultimate beneficiaries; this affects us, our children, and our future generations.

Your money will help towards:

  • Scholars and leaders - provide a comprehensive support package enabling us to graduate qualified ulema from our Aalimiyyah programme
  • Grants - Ensure no worthy student has to drop out from Islamic studies due to financial difficulties by providing grants
  • Subsidies - Keeping top-up fees affordable for average Muslim families so that learning is available for all
  • Accessibility - Continue our work to make Islamic education easily accessible to all Muslims through part-time courses, seminars and online courses
  • Community - enable us to carry out vital community and out-reach work such as Your Imam, an online Islamic Q&A portal
