Paul died at home as he wished and it was the care and support of the team at Cornwall Hospice Care, in conjunction with his GP and a tremendous team of community nurses, that helped make this possible. Paul spent a few nights in the hospice to find the right combination of drugs to manage his pain and symptoms. The team were amazing, as well as finding the right drug combination, they welcomed us all with open arms and were a tremendous support… although Bo (our dog) received more attention than any of us. Their support continued after Paul returned home and they were always at the end of the phone, willing to give their expertise and support without question.
